The Zen principles for building a successful NFT Community. By Zeneca and some great Stoics.
Are you an NFT Project founder or looking to start your own NFT Project? These principles from the Stoic philosophy combined with some in-depth industry wisdom from the Zeneca will help you succeed...
Last week I had the pleasure to interview the Zensei of Zen Academy himself, Zeneca! If you are into NFTs, This episode is FOR YOU!
Seneca doing a Zen Meditation while thinking about NFTs in the metaverse, Ultrarealistic HD, Full body, Purple, and all other colors combined @ MidJourney
If you are in the NFT space, 99.42% odds that you know Zeneca, but did you know his personal path towards building a personal brand and a thriving Web3 community and online education business?
In this episode of the WCP, we dissect Zeneca's path to success, the many stumbles along the way, and the key takeaways and lessons that anyone building in the NFT Space should consider.
Some of Zeneca's Knowledge bombs:
"if you're a founder, you need to be in the trenches. It's, it's really difficult to, stay connected with your community. If you're always looking at things from a bird's eye view and you're sort of not really in the discord chatting with people, you're not retweeting people, you're not hanging out in Twitter spaces, you're not talking to the community... Make sure you can take as much time as you can. Be a community member yourself, because if you're not, then you're gonna miss so much stuff.”
We also laid out the key principles for building a prosperous Community, and since we are also into Seneca and the Stoic Philosophy, I decided to instill a stoic list for NFT Project owners and Web3 Founders. By following these stoic principles, you'll be able to navigate the ups and downs of the crypto like a boss:
1 - Focus on what you can control:
You do NOT Control the floor price (Unless you are a major whale or dumping on your community).
So, focus on what you can control, like your personal growth, your project roadmap, the quality of your code, and the strength of your coffee ☕️
2 - Practice self-discipline:
What part of "APEING IN" spells self-discipline? That's right, NONE.
Instead, develop good habits around work, spending, managing your collections, and building personal relationships.
Practice a daily Discipline to check in with your community🫂
3 - Embrace change:
If you're in the NFT game, you are no stranger to the speed of changes and narratives in the space. Embrace it, pivot when necessary, and always be learning and growing.
This doesn't mean “go dump the project”, it means “observe and learn to evolve with it”🧠
4 - Maintain a sense of purpose:
There's more to life than accumulating coins. Strive to create value for your community, make a positive impact in the world, and really believe in what you're doing.
If you believe in your project, you will naturally be building and delivering 💪
5 - Emphasize resilience:
You do not develop resilience in an up-only market, You develop resilience in the face of adversity (AKA Bear Wrestling 🐻🥊).
Take this bear market as an opportunity for growth and use it to become stronger and more resilient. 💪
So, there you have it! Follow these principles, and you'll be a stoic NFT master in no time.
